Data Engineering
18 weeks to go from raw data to reliable, governed data platforms that are ready for AI. Built with the software rigor the industry expects, on a 100% free stack.
Same syllabus as the Data Engineering bootcamp, but one-on-one. First we book a call: there we pick the day and time of your weekly session together, and we work through the 18 modules on that schedule. Every submission is reviewed with you, on your own pipeline, in that session. No waiting for a cohort to open, and if a week doesn't work, we reschedule.
How it starts
You book a call and we set your schedule
Investment
Installment payments
One payment of $1,700 USD, or 6 monthly payments of $284. We'll go over it on the call.
Individual vs. group
Same syllabus, two ways to take it
Same content, same certificate, and in both we meet every week. What changes is who's on the call and who reviews your submissions.
Group bootcamp · Data Engineering
By cohort · date to be announced
- We meet every week, the whole group together
- No one-on-one sessions: support is collective
- You start on the cohort's date, along with everyone else
- Your questions get answered in the shared meeting
- Private community with your cohort
Individual Bootcamp · Data Engineering
$1,700 USD · schedule agreed with you
- We meet every week, just you and me
- 18 one-on-one 60-min sessions, on dates you agree with me
- We pick your weekly slot on a call and get going
- Every submission reviewed with you, on your code
- Private recording of every session, visible only to you
- If a week gets busy, you don't fall behind
Curriculum
What you'll learn
Three six-week phases. Each one closes with a deliverable that goes straight into your portfolio.
Phase 1 — Data Engineering foundations
Weeks 1-6Phase 2 — The modern, governed analytical stack
Weeks 7-12Phase 3 — Scale, real time and data for AI
Weeks 13-18Who it's for
Is this bootcamp for you?
The individual program is for people who already write SQL and Python and can't, or won't, wait for the next cohort.
Analysts and devs with a broken calendar
You already work with data or code, but a group's schedule doesn't work for you. We pick yours together, and if a week doesn't work, we move it.
People who won't wait
The next cohort doesn't have a date yet. Here you don't wait: we book a call, set your slot, and get going.
People who need review on THEIR pipeline
Not a generic syllabus: guidance on your project, your modeling decisions and your mistakes.
What's included
Everything you get
All the bootcamp content, plus the kind of support that only fits in a one-on-one.
One 1:1 session every week
The group bootcamp meets every week with everyone and has no individual sessions. Here that weekly hour is yours alone.
- 18 individual 60-minute sessions, one per week, at a time we agree on.
- Every submission reviewed live, on your code, not with a generic comment.
- Each session's recording is saved in your account. Only you can see it.
- Written agreements after every session: what's next and by when.
Your schedule, picked with you
You don't join a group's calendar: we agree on yours in the first call.
- We start as soon as we agree on the schedule, with no cohort to wait for.
- 6 months of access, counted from YOUR start date.
- If a week doesn't work, we reschedule. There's no group leaving you behind.
- All 18 Data Engineering modules, with the full material.
The same bootcamp content
Nothing cut: the full syllabus, with its projects and its certificate.
- Ingestion, modeling, quality, orchestration, scale, streaming and data for AI.
- Three portfolio projects: ELT pipeline, governed analytical platform and a production-ready capstone.
- A 100% free stack: everything runs locally or on free tiers with no card.
- Certificate on completion, same as the cohort bootcamp.

FAQ
Everything you need to know
How is it different from the group bootcamp?
The syllabus is the same, and in both we meet every week. What changes is who's on the call and what gets reviewed: in the group bootcamp the meeting is with everyone and there are no individual sessions. In the individual program that hour is yours alone: 18 one-on-one sessions where we review your code and your submissions. And you don't wait for a cohort to open: we book a call, pick your weekly slot and get going.
What do I need to know before starting?
Intermediate SQL (SELECT, JOINs, aggregations, subqueries), basic Python (variables, functions, loops, data structures), basic Git and comfort in the terminal. If you're missing the base, NIEVA's SQL Bootcamp and Python Mini-Bootcamp are the direct preparation.
Is this Data Science or Machine Learning?
No. This is data engineering: building and operating the systems that produce trustworthy data. We touch data for AI in Phase 3, but from the pipeline side, not the modeling side.
What will the stack cost me?
Nothing. Everything runs on your machine with Docker or on free tiers that don't ask for a credit card (BigQuery Sandbox, Databricks Free Edition). There's no risk of surprise charges.
How many hours a week do I need?
Beyond your weekly one-on-one session, budget practice time during the week. The pipeline is built incrementally: each module adds a piece to that phase's project.
When do I start?
Whenever you want. We book a call, set your weekly slot and get going. You get 6 months of access counted from your start date.
Are our one-on-one sessions recorded?
Yes. Every session is recorded and saved in your account, together with that week's agreements and documents. Only you can see it.
What if I can't make the date we agreed on?
We reschedule. There's no group waiting and no class you can miss: your 18 sessions fit your availability across the 6 months.
What do I walk away with?
Three end-to-end projects on public GitHub, the judgment to design and operate production data platforms, and a path onward to the AI Engineering bootcamp.
