Scope and what NIEVA offers

These Terms govern access to and use of the NIEVA training platform and the purchase of its programs. By creating an account, enrolling in a program or using the platform, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Notice, which forms an integral part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

NIEVA is a non-formal education platform in programming and technology. It offers:

  • Bootcamps: intensive programs with a start date, a cohort and mentoring, including graded assignments.

  • Individual programs: personalized mentoring over a defined period.

  • Open courses: content at no cost for people with a registered account.

NIEVA is not an officially accredited educational institution. See the section on certificates.

Your account

Registration

To access the content you need to create an account with a valid email address and verify it using the code we send you.

Personal and non-transferable use

Your account is personal and non-transferable. You may not share your credentials, lend your access or allow a third party to use your account. You are responsible for all activity carried out from it. Detecting shared use of an account may lead to its suspension.

Accuracy

You undertake that the information you provide is true and that you will keep it up to date.

Prices, taxes and invoicing

For users in Mexico, prices are displayed in Mexican pesos (MXN) with value added tax included, and the total amount payable is shown clearly before you confirm the purchase. Prices may also be expressed in US dollars for reference.

Where the charge is made in a currency other than that of your payment method, your bank or issuer will apply its own exchange rate and may charge you conversion fees, over which NIEVA has no control.

Receipt. We will provide a receipt for every transaction. If you need a Mexican digital tax receipt (CFDI), you may request it by writing to m@nieva.team within the calendar month in which you made the payment, stating your RFC, registered name, tax regime, CFDI use and postal code.

How these Terms are accepted

Acceptance. By creating your account, enrolling in a program, or continuing to use the platform after we notify you of an update, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Notice in their current version. We keep a record of the version you accepted and the date on which you did so.

How to purchase

  • You choose the program on the site.

  • You review the price, what it includes, the dates and the payment terms.

  • You accept these Terms and the Privacy Notice.

  • You complete payment through Stripe, our processor. NIEVA does not store your card details.

  • You receive confirmation by email and access is enabled in your account.

The contract is formed when you receive payment confirmation.

Recurring payments and installments

Disclosure. Where a program is purchased with automatic recurring charges, whether a subscription or a bootcamp paid in installments, we will tell you clearly and prominently, before you confirm the purchase: that the charge is automatic and recurring, its frequency, the amount of each charge, the date on which it will be made, and the total number of charges where this is determined.

Express consent. Recurring billing requires your express and informed consent, which you give when confirming the purchase. We will never enable recurring billing by default or through pre-checked boxes.

Notice before each renewal. We will send a notice to your account email at least five calendar days before each automatic renewal, stating the amount, the charge date and a direct link to cancel.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time, immediately and without penalty, from "My subscription" in your dashboard, the same channel through which you purchased. There is no need to call, send an email or give a reason. Cancellation stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

The cohort and available seats

Bootcamps are delivered in cohorts. Before enrolling you will see the start date, the end date, the enrollment deadline, the duration in weeks and, where applicable, the maximum number of seats in the cohort.

Enrollment closes when seats run out or when the deadline is reached, whichever comes first.

Early-bird price. Where we offer a promotional price with a deadline, the expiration date and the regular price applicable afterward will be clearly stated.

What your enrollment includes

When you enroll in a bootcamp you receive, for the duration of your cohort:

  • Access to the program material and the corresponding workbook.

  • Participation in the sessions delivered and access to their recordings, where available.

  • Review of your assignments with feedback from the teaching team.

  • Access to your cohort's community.

  • The certificate of completion, if you meet the requirements.

Assignments and evaluation

The program includes periodic assignments. For each one we will state what is required and when it is due. You may accompany it with a link to your repository, to a demo or to a presentation.

The teaching team will review your assignment and return a status and comments. If the assignment requires corrections, you will be told what to adjust and by when.

Your assignments are yours. You retain all rights over the code and materials you produce. You grant us only the license necessary to host them, review them and give you feedback.

Session recordings

Recording of sessions. Live sessions may be recorded so that enrolled participants who could not attend can watch them later, and they remain available only inside the platform and only to your cohort.

We will tell you at the start of each session when it is being recorded. You may take part with your camera and microphone off, and request that a portion in which you appear be edited or removed by writing to us at m@nieva.team.

We do not publish recordings outside the platform and we do not use them for promotional purposes without your separate, express authorization.

How long your access lasts

Duration of your access

Free bootcamps: you keep access to the material indefinitely, for as long as your account stays active and the program remains published on the platform.

Individual programs: you keep access to the material indefinitely, for as long as your account stays active.

Paid bootcamps with a cohort: you keep access to the material for the duration of your cohort and one additional year counted from its end date.

In every case, mentoring from the teaching team, assignment review and live sessions are provided only during the cohort period. What continues afterward is access to the material.

If a program is withdrawn from the platform, we will tell you at least 30 calendar days in advance so you can download whatever material is available for download.

Bootcamp certificate

To receive the certificate of completion you must have completed 100% of the program's lessons and have submitted, with a passing result, the assignments the program identifies as mandatory

The certificate is publicly verifiable through its code and is subject to the certificates section of these Terms.

Rescheduling and cancellation of a cohort

If for reasons attributable to us we have to reschedule the start date of a cohort, we will tell you as far in advance as possible and you may choose between keeping your place on the new date or receiving a full refund of what you paid.

If we cancel a cohort before it starts, we will refund the full amount. If we discontinue it once started, we will refund the proportional part not delivered, or you may transfer to a later cohort.

Removing a participant from the cohort

We may remove a participant from the cohort, with prior notice and an opportunity to correct where reasonable, if they:

  • Share their credentials or the program material with third parties.

  • Engage in harassment, discrimination or conduct that affects other people in the cohort.

  • Repeatedly fail to meet the agreed payment obligations.

Removal for breach does not give rise to a refund. We will give you the reason in writing and you will keep access to your own assignments.

Scholarships, complimentary access and manual grants

Where we grant a scholarship, discount or complimentary access, we will tell you in writing its scope, its duration and the conditions for keeping it. Unless stated otherwise, scholarships are personal, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash, and are subject to the same conduct and assignment rules as the rest of the cohort.

Installment plans as credit transactions

Where a program is paid in installments, before purchase we will tell you:

  • The cash price of the program.

  • The amount and breakdown of any additional charge for deferred payment.

  • The number of payments, their amount and their frequency.

  • The total amount payable, itemized.

  • Your right to pay off the balance early, with the corresponding reduction in interest.

While the payment plan is in force we will send a statement of account to your account email.

Cancellation and refund policy

Cancellation and refund policy

1. Cancellation before the start. If you purchase a program whose start date is more than ten business days after your purchase, you may cancel within the following five business days and we will refund the full amount, with no liability on your part.

2. Refund window at the start. In addition, if you cancel within 7 calendar days after the program starts and you have consumed less than 25% of the program's lessons of the content, we will refund the amount paid.

3. After that period. No refund applies, except as provided in points 4 and 5. You may request, once only, a transfer to a later cohort within the following 12 months.

4. If the program is not delivered or is delivered deficiently for reasons attributable to NIEVA, you are entitled to the compensation provided under the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Law, which will in no case be less than 20% of the price paid, in addition to a refund of the proportional part not delivered.

5. If we cancel or reschedule a cohort, the rescheduling section applies: a full refund if it has not started, or a proportional refund if it is discontinued.

6. Installment payments. If you cancel with an active payment plan, we will stop charging the outstanding installments from the cancellation date. Refunds of amounts already paid are governed by the points above.

How to request one. Write to us at m@nieva.team from your account email address, stating the program and the reason. We will respond within a maximum of 10 business days and, where applicable, we will issue the refund through the same payment method you used, within the following 15 business days.

Content access and license

On enrollment, NIEVA grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable and revocable license to access the content of the program you purchased, for personal and educational purposes only, for the duration of your enrollment.

What you may do

  • Consult, study and practice with the material.

  • Download the material the platform allows you to download, for your personal use.

  • Use the code you write during the program, including solved exercises, in your own personal or professional projects.

  • Mention the program on your resume and on your social profiles.

What you may not do

  • Reproduce, distribute, publicly communicate or make the content available.

  • Resell, assign, sublicense or share it with third parties, whether free or paid.

  • Publish it in whole or in part on any medium, including public repositories.

  • Use it to deliver training of your own or of third parties.

  • Use it to train, fine-tune or evaluate artificial intelligence models.

  • Extract it in bulk or by automated means, through scraping or any other method.

  • Circumvent the technical access control measures.

Duration of access

Free bootcamps: your access to the material has no expiration date. It continues for as long as you keep an active account and the material remains published.

Paid bootcamps with a cohort: your access to the material is valid for the period of your cohort and for one additional year counted from that cohort's end date.

Individual programs: your access to the material has no expiration date. It continues for as long as you keep an active account and the material remains published.

Open courses: for as long as you keep an active account and the course remains published.

Intellectual property

All content on the platform, including text, video, sample code, exercises, materials, design, trademarks and logos, is the property of NIEVA or its licensors, and is protected by Mexican copyright and industrial property law. Access to the platform does not transfer any intellectual property right to you.

Your content

When you upload assignments, write in the forum, leave comments or post on your profile, that content remains yours.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce and display that content within the platform, only to the extent necessary to provide the service: reviewing your assignments, giving you feedback and showing your comments to the program community.

This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for what we must keep by legal obligation or what other users have already quoted in public threads.

You warrant that you hold the rights to what you upload, and that it does not infringe third-party rights or contain other people's personal data without their consent.

Conduct

The following is not permitted:

  • Sharing credentials or giving access to third parties.

  • Harassing, insulting or discriminating against other students or the team.

  • Posting unlawful or defamatory content, or content that infringes third-party rights.

  • Interfering with the operation of the platform, or attempting to access restricted areas or other users' data.

  • Automating access or extracting content in bulk.

  • Impersonating another person.

Certificates

On completing a program you may receive a certificate issued by NIEVA, publicly verifiable through its code.

This certificate attests to the completion of a training program delivered by NIEVA. It is not a degree, diploma or academic qualification, and it does not carry Recognition of Official Validity of Studies (RVOE) from the Mexican Ministry of Education, nor occupational competency certification from CONOCER.

NIEVA may revoke a certificate issued in error or obtained fraudulently.

Artificial intelligence features

The platform includes features assisted by artificial intelligence, such as the lesson tutor, practice interviews and content generation, which rely on external providers.

AI-generated responses may contain errors. They do not replace review by an instructor and do not constitute professional advice. Always verify critical information.

The processing of data from these features is described in the Privacy Notice.

What it is and what it is not

Technical Interviews is a practice service: you hold a simulated technical conversation with an automated system and receive feedback on your performance, your strengths, your gaps and a study plan.

It is not a recruitment process, it is not a certification, and it does not guarantee or facilitate employment. The score and the report are study guidance: they do not constitute a professional assessment of your abilities or a document enforceable against third parties. NIEVA does not share your results with employers.

Credits: what exactly you are buying

The service is purchased in credit packs. Each pack states, before purchase: how many text interviews it includes, how many voice interviews, its price and its validity period.

Text credits and voice credits are counted separately and are not interchangeable.

A credit is consumed when an interview starts. If you abandon it without finishing, the credit remains consumed. The attempt stays available in your account so you can resume it while its validity period lasts.

Credits expire at the end of the pack's validity period. The date is shown in your account and on your purchase receipt. Credits unused at that date are not refundable and are not transferable to another person.

NIEVA may grant complimentary credits or credits included with another product. Complimentary credits do not give rise to a refund and may be revoked at any time. That revocation never affects credits you have purchased.

Voice interviews

Voice-mode interviews require you to authorize access to your device's microphone. You may revoke that permission at any time from your browser. Without it, voice mode does not work and you can continue using text mode.

During the session, your voice is transmitted directly from your browser to the artificial intelligence provider that runs the conversation, which converts it to text in real time. NIEVA does not record or store the audio of your interviews. What is kept in your account is the transcript of the conversation and the results report. The details of this processing are in the Privacy Notice.

How it is evaluated, and who may read it

Your interview is evaluated by an automated system that applies a predefined rubric and produces a score, a per-criterion assessment and a report. The applicable rubric is recorded alongside your result.

Authorized NIEVA personnel may review the transcript and the score for quality control of the service and to improve the rubric, and may record their own assessment of that same conversation.

If you disagree with a score, you may request human review by writing to m@nieva.team.

Connecting AI assistants

NIEVA may offer you the ability to connect your account to third-party artificial intelligence assistants in order to consult from them the material you have access to. This feature may be purchased separately or included in one of our plans.

Scope. The connection gives you access only to material you are already entitled to under your account. It does not extend your license or grant you access to content you have not purchased.

Personal use. Connection credentials are personal and non-transferable. You may not share them, resell them or allow another person to use them.

Usage limits. The service has query limits, which are disclosed to you before purchase. We may temporarily suspend the connection when usage exceeds those limits or when we detect a pattern of bulk extraction.

What is not permitted. Reproducing or storing the content beyond what is necessary for your personal consultation; redistributing it to third parties; using it to train, fine-tune or evaluate artificial intelligence models; or extracting it in bulk or by automated means.

Revocation. You may disconnect the assistant at any time from your profile. We may revoke the connection if this section is breached, without that affecting your access to the material through the platform's ordinary channels.

Third-party assistants are not operated by NIEVA. What you do in them is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their responses or their availability.

Availability, suspension and termination

Availability. We aim to keep the platform continuously available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. There may be interruptions due to maintenance, third-party failures or force majeure.

We may modify, update or withdraw content and features. If a change substantially and adversely affects a program you have already purchased, we will tell you and you may choose between transferring to another cohort or a proportional refund.

Termination by you. You may close your account at any time from your profile or by writing to m@nieva.team. Closing your account does not by itself give rise to a refund.

Suspension by NIEVA. We may suspend or cancel your access if you breach these Terms seriously or repeatedly, in particular the rules on account sharing, prohibited uses of the content, and conduct. Whenever reasonable, we will warn you first and give you an opportunity to correct. In cases of risk to the platform or to other users we may suspend immediately. If cancellation is due to your breach, no refund applies.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the program will get you a job, a promotion or any particular professional outcome, as this depends on factors outside our control.

NIEVA is liable for its obligations under the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Law and applicable civil law.

Nothing in these Terms limits the rights the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Law grants you as a consumer.

Support, complaints and jurisdiction

Personal data. The processing of your data is governed by our Privacy Notice, available at https://nieva.wislab.app/en/privacy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

Support and complaints. Write to us at m@nieva.team. We will respond within a maximum of 5 business days. If you are not satisfied, you may turn to the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO), consumer helpline 55 5568 8722 and 800 468 8722, or profeco.gob.mx.

Changes. We may amend these Terms. We will publish the updated version on this page with its effective date and, if the changes are substantial, we will notify you at your account email at least 15 calendar days in advance. Changes do not apply retroactively to programs you have already purchased.

Dispute resolution. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. You may file any complaint or claim with PROFECO through any of the channels it makes available, including the Concilianet portal, and nothing in these Terms limits that right. For the interpretation and performance of these Terms, you may choose the competent courts of your own domicile or those of NIEVA's domicile. The rights provided under the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Law cannot be waived.

Language of the contract

These Terms are published in Spanish and in English. The Spanish version is the only binding one. The English version is provided solely as a courtesy translation. In the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Spanish text prevails.
