Claude Associate Certification Prep
Get ready for the **Claude Certified Associate: Foundations (CCAO-F)** exam, Anthropic's official certification (administered by Pearson VUE, with a Credly badge) for business professionals who use Claude in their real work: consultants, project leads, PMs, operations roles, and anyone who relies on Claude without writing code. This guide doesn't re-teach everything from scratch: it's a **preparation wrapper** that maps your existing knowledge to the exam's 7 domains, translates each topic into the language it's tested in, fills the main gap (evaluating and validating what Claude produces), and drills you with weight-based practice banks and a full timed mock exam. > **Non-affiliation notice.** This guide is independent NIEVA material. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anthropic, Pearson VUE, or Credly. "Claude" and the certification names are trademarks of their owners and are used here only to identify the exam. The official syllabus is not reproduced: check it at the official source we link. Every practice question is original, written for this guide; none comes from the real exam or from third-party banks. The exam (60 questions, 120 minutes, 720/1000 to pass, multiple choice + scenarios) doesn't reward *generating* text: it rewards **knowing whether the text is right, complete, and safe to send**: that's why the *Output Evaluation & Validation* domain is the heaviest (21%). This guide puts its largest net-new content effort there, while the domains where the NIEVA ecosystem already left you strong (prompting, workflow integration with Cowork, Projects configuration) get an efficient mapping. It covers all 7 domains: Output Evaluation & Validation, Workflow Integration & Solution Design, Governance/Responsible Use, Prompting & Task Execution, Product & Model Selection (Claude's 4 surfaces and its current models), Configuration & Knowledge Management (Projects, skills, memory), and Troubleshooting & Optimisation. Each domain opens by acknowledging what you already master and only adds what the exam demands. **The honest truth (included in module 1):** today the exam is **partner-only**: it requires the corporate email of an organization inside the Claude Partner Network; a personal email won't work. And unlike the Developer exam, **the Associate does not count** as credit toward an organization's partner status. This guide doesn't promise you the badge: it gets you **ready to sit it the day you have partner access**, and in the meantime it anchors you in **Anthropic Academy** (`academy.claude.com`), whose free courses grant a certificate of completion open to anyone. What you really take away is the judgment to work with Claude at a professional level, not a badge.

- Configure Projects, reference knowledge, memory, skills, and connectors without writing code.
- Integrate Claude into real workflows with Cowork and design solutions with human control.
